Fozzers Famous Fluffy Cloud Formations:

Hi All...!

For all those who, like me, prefer to set their own cloud formations and heights....
A few details of cloud types and heights:

Starting at ground level, in order of height...

Lower clouds. Up to 6,000 feet:

Stratus....low level cloud.
Strato Cumulus....large formations.
Cumulus....towering tops.
Nimbus....full of activity.
Cumulo-Nimbus....towering tops with anvil formation.

Middle clouds. 6,000 to 19,700 feet:

Alto-cumulus....streaky cloud.
Cirro-Stratus....wispy clouds

High clouds. 19,700 to 40,000 feet:

Cirro-cumulus....separate puffs of clouds.
Cirrus....mares tails
Iridescent cloud....very high level glowing clouds.
***********************************************
In the sim...
Weather > User defined weather > Change.
Clear skies (clears all weather).

User defined weather > Customise weather.
Cloud densities.
Precipitation, (rain!).
Visibility...5 to 20 miles max.
Wind speed.
Wind direction.

Advanced weather:
Cloud types.
Heights.
Turbulence.
Icing.
Etc.
***********************************************

Cheers all...!

Paul.

..Have fun in the fluffies...!

P.S. Just remember that complex cloud formations are one of the biggest frame-rate hoggers in the Sim... ;)....!
