First, we will need two things....

(1) The COMPLETE specification of your computer.
(2) A photograpic copy of your Microlight Licence.

Then we may be able to help...

Is it only in FS, or on every program?
Are you using any new speakers or head phones?
If it is on all programs, and sound has been fine in the past, i would sugest just reinstalling your sound card drivers (these will be on the disks that came with your computer, or just do a search for them on the net and you should be able to download them)

Will get very technical here....
VIA chipset + pre Audigy2 SBLive will cause problems on the PCI bus, they are fighting with each other so the rest of the traffic (harddisk) won't get through

I've got a lubbly-jubbly Creative Labs Soundblaster 1024 which worked fine on Win '98 SE, but unfortunately, was designed only for Win '95/'98... :'(...!
The driver CD will not install the drivers on Win XP...!
...and there are no recent downloadable drivers available for Win XP systems...!
...Buggar... >:(...!
The card works ok, but no utility programs included...!

Paul... ;)... ;D...!

P.S....and a VIA 4 in 1 chipset. (Gigabyte Triton 7 KT600 motherboard).... ;)...!
