Installing

Postby VOHY_VO0I » Tue May 31, 2005 9:54 am

Atlast i got a file (download) which i always wanted.

A guage which calculates / displays / callsout the Vspeeds (V1,Vr,V2) and gear, and configuration warnings during takeoff. The Vspeeds are calculated based on the actual aircraft's weight and flaps position, with a correction for temperature and pressure altitude.

Now, the sad part ---- It requires the editing of the .xml guage. I've read the readme and other related files a hundred times and have tried all sorts of editing which should be done. But unfortunately none of them seem to work.

I would really be obliged if someone could download this file and give be a brief setup of how to get it working (not the one which comes with the file). This would be beneficial to you people and also to me.

Please............guys, i need this file working and it cannot be done without help from your side.

Search for the file ------ rcbvs-24.zip at avsim.

I just checked it again and it is available in Flight Simulator 2004 - Gauges (at avsim).

Just do a search in the flie library without sorting the categories. (again at avsim)

I use FS2004.

Vohy,

P.S - Also, don't forget to type .zip after the file name or it will not show up.

...well I got the gauge and from the readme the actual installing seems easy enough...then as you say "comes the sad part"..........totally lost me there for a start.......maybe if I had a couple of spare weeks I could figure it out....but sorry to say..........no I don't. Looks a bit of a mine field to me...........and for what may I ask?
 Sorry I must pass this on..............commoner :(

I understand, and thanks for the help Commoner.

I feel this is an important guage which should be a must........but anyway you're the decider.
