A Bad CV

Postby Batman93210 » Sat May 28, 2005 8:41 pm

Hi Yall :)

I receatly downloaded a Douglas DC-4. The aircraft is not to bad, but the vc is not good at all. :'(  I was able to rebuild the panel, but there isn't nothing I can do with the vc. So my question is there a way to remove the vc.

The VC is hard coded into the model itselft. I once heard of someone who figured out how to edit it out, but I heard it was complicated. I don't even know if it's true or not, just something I heard

I think you'd have to re-build the model.

Yes, some models are better than others...

...just don't bother clicking on the Virtual Cockpit view... ;)...!
(Much easier than trying to delete something).
Use the 2D Cockpit view instead... ;D...!

Cheers...!

Yes, alternativley, you could download a new panel off the panel thing...

The DVC is part of the visual model, not the panel.

Now you're getting complicated. Removing an existing DVC is one thing but adding one is quite a different matter.

I dont know, but would gess that evrey MDL file is diffrent. So an aricraft that diden't have a vc would be almost imposible to add a vc in to it. Well I woulden't know where to start.

The only practial way to add a DVC to an aircraft without one would be to have the author's orignal source file. You would also need the modelling application used to create the source file & know how to use it.
