Problem with joystick

Postby MafiaTiger » Fri May 27, 2005 10:44 pm

This might not be the right forum... but i have a logitech joystick, and somehow usually midway through flight its callibration is messed up and when the joystick is fully pointed right the plane barley moves. The calibration tool that came with the logitech joystick doesnt do anything. I have seached www.logitech.com for its forums, support, and i even emailed them and i have got any answer to my problem let alone any idea to even what might be wrong. This has been posted a lot of times on their forums but like i said they dont get a reply. Its so anoying to be comming in for a landing and without the power to turn right its so hard. If anyone can please help me you would make my future experiances with FS a lot more enjoyable  ;D Thanks

Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your joystick?

I have a Logitech Extreme3D Pro (from WalMart) and haven't had any problems with it so far, what Logitech stick are you using?

- Forgot to add I'm using the drivers that came with it out of the box, but I don't have the profiler software running in the background.

Are you sure you haven't got "Autopilot" switched on during your flight...(this will over-ride your joystick attempts to control the aircraft)...?

Cheers all...

I've use (and continue to use) Logitech joysticks through its various incarnations since FS5.1. I've broken a few off during aerial battles in CFS but that's not Logitech's fault.

Last time I had the problem you describe I took the Logitech off one of my other three computers and it turned out I had worn another Logitech out. After logging over 2000hrs on FS it wore out -- surprise, surprise.

Therefore, may I suggest trying a new Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Digital -- the best 29 bucks you'll ever spend.

I've had two logitech extreme 3D pros and both of them did the same thing to me.  I found a forum on their site and there are known problems and some very upset customers.  Its too bad because while it worked it worked great.  Each one lasted about three or four months.
