Problems with settings

Postby icky_d » Sun May 22, 2005 6:44 pm

Okay, a few days ago, I noticed that all my settings were off, display, difficulty etc. So I go to the control panels, and all of the settings are in a dark grey box, now I can't seem to change them, difficulty, display and all. Can someone help me with fixing this? Oh, and for some reason, I can't system restore either...any advice?

Just a shot, but sounds like you may be using a User account the doesnt have permissions.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

are you by any chance running a skinning program for windows (eg. windowblinds)? if yes, that could cause it. i had a problem before where i couldn't change settings and it turned out to be windowblinds. so if you use it, unload it and see if that helped

If all else fails you might try removing or renaming your Fs9.cfg file. All those settings are stored in that file and removing it will force FS to build a new one.
