Yes im a newbie lol...have a quick question about how you make the air gates on all the terminals at airports in fs9 move to your aircraft? And how do you make service vehicles come up and service your aircraft. I have seen many pictures on here with the service vechiles and gates near the aircraft but I have no idea how to do that on my fs9. Please help me out. Thanks.

Welcome to SImViation!!!

Unfortanetly, we don't have those capabilities yet. if the screenshots you have seen look like the aircraft is at the gate, the pilot moved the aircraft there. we just arent there yet, but trust me, the whole flight sim comminuty has been asking for this.

again, welcome to SimV

csu266,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

The dafault program does not have these capabilities as Anonyramos has said.

However, there are some payware programs that add these features.  I am sure that someone will come along and mention specifics soon.  I think one that has the moving airbridges is called "British Airports Vol 1"... but I am not sure.  Be aware that such animated scenery puts a good strain on your system  ;).

There may be some freeware that also has one or more of these features...... but I am not sure which ones.

A number of the planes (flyable and those for AI) from Aircraft Repaints New Zealand (Jon Murchison) have pushback tugs and ground support vehicles included.

Hope these leads help.

best,

...............john

...mm....I use the Just Flights British Airports that John mentioned and at the main airports, Heathrow etc. the airgates and service vehicles are animated.......they do sure look cool but as also said ..this is not programmed in FS9 by default
Not seen any drag on framerates though as that is all that is happening at the time..........commoner ;)

There are other animations too such as at one rural airfield you have to fly low over the grass strip to move a flock of sheep before you can land........... ;D
