Crackling Sound

Postby Bubblehead » Mon May 09, 2005 10:31 pm

I've just noticed it lately that during take off, particularly when flying commercial jets, this loud crackling sound over the engine noise inside the cockpit particularly  when lowering or raising the landing gear and/orthe flaps. I don't hear this sound when the aircraft is viewed from the outside. I don't hear this sound when flying turbo props, props or fighter jets. Sounds like its common in the FS9 sound file but it seem to be selective to commercial jet sound only. Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem?

P.S.

Don't have that problem with FS2002.

Have you added any soundpacks or jets with a self-installed/soundpack lately? Could be its overwritten a default sound file (I've had this before)...

Sometimes, just turng down the master sound volume  a bit  for your sound card/chip in Windows will eliminate the crackeling.
