Displaying ATC for myself only

Postby chainz » Thu May 05, 2005 9:15 pm

How can I show the atc window when the atc is only talking to me? It annoying to get it off the screen each time the atc talks to someone else. I tried turning off the text and showing the box, But I like the box and text on, But only when they talk to me.

(alt)>options>settings>ATC-check the box for 'Auto-open ATC window'.

The window will open whenever ATC calls you, and close when their done with you.

If you open the window yourself, (to request taxi,  select airport, etc.) you'll have to close it yourself.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

The default hot key for this is the tilde key (~), right above the Tab key.  It will open and close the window for you.

I kow how to open and close it, But I dont want it to open when the ATC is talking to other aircraft. It's annoying how it stays open when they are talking and you close it then it comes back up and you have to close it each time the atc talks to other planes.

In that case, in full screen mode, simply go: Alt/Options/Settings/ATC and unclick the box for Auto-open ATC Window...  :)

I think what he is trying to say is, there any way to

Have the ATC box with text open up just for him, and not show the text conversation between AI and ATC
