Pan View Speed?

Postby packercolinl » Thu Apr 28, 2005 7:10 am

I'm not happy with the speed FS9 pans at. There was a way to increase it in FS2002 but I'm not sure where to look in FS9 to do the same.

Cheers,
Col

i have mine set to 1200, makes a difference in the VC flying a military jet, at high speeds and as low as you can, makes swinging around alot easier to make sure you not gonna hit anything.

Thanks for the replies-but-I can't find it!!

There is nothing there remotely resembling a cfg file that displays that information!! I know what I'm looking for -- just can't find it.

I'm bugged now,I'll just have to go  looking more because it's gotta be there and every time I use panview it'll be a reminder.

Thanks,
Col.

Would this be:
                      JScript Script File
                      3kb
???? because if it is I have a problem.
Copying from Disc 1 of FS9,MSGame1 cabinet that file shows an error and obviously won't open. It shows as "config.js"

Any help or am I looking in the wrong place? I can find my way around enough to get into trouble(don't ask for screenshots etc. ;D)

Cheers,
Col.

:)We have a result! Many thanks commoner for guiding me through that. I made some basic mistakes in my search(Fs9 instead of fs9-you did write it that way)and I should remember but I don't  :(.

Once again Simv Forums has shown the qualities that have attracted many over the years-friendliness,knowledge and a willingness to help.

Thanks again commoner,
Col.

...Ok Col...results are what we are after......... >:(

...Andrew, Sp2 makes no difference.... Click on My Computer..then C..then Documents and Settings..then Owner..then Application Data..then Microsoft..then open the Fs9 folder and the fs9.cfg is the prize...........or run the search as col did.......commoner. ;)

....BTW, if you do mess up the fs9.cfg and want a nice shiny new one..........you can delete it and when you start up the Sim it will generate one for you. Careful...this only works for this particular .cfg file. NOT for any others.

Just a clarification-I made the mistake with the fs9.cfg,sorry if the wording was ambiguous.

I cannot see "application data"either so I just accessed the file out of Search. I'll check the other out later. The point being that I didn't know where to look for it anyway, now at least I have a route to it.

Cheers,
Col.
