Compared to FS2002 Pro?

Postby rcole » Tue Feb 25, 2003 1:14 am

Does anyone know if ACOF will be more closely related to FS2k2 Pro or Standard?  I don't own either one, but I was wanting to get the pro version, as I am a pilot who wants to keep up with the instrument approaches.  Well, for that matter, is the pro version significantly more "professional" than the standard version?  I know it has GMAX, but I'm not a designer or developer.  So, then, the basic question is...will I be shorting myself if I wait and buy ACOF, or should I get 2k2 Pro (or save $20 and get standard)?

Tx! ???

Looks like the mods haven't quite finished cleaning up all of this guy's posts.

It looks to me like rcole is really asking 2 questions, what's the difference between FS02 Standard and Pro and should I wait to get ACOF.

You don't need to wait for ACOF because it's been out for a year or so.  It requires some pretty healthy hardware so you might want to post your specs.

If you're not a designer the only difference between 02 Standard and Pro is that Pro has some additional aircraft - I don't recall exactly which but I beileve the Beech Kingair is among them.  If you get Standard you will be missing the additional aircraft and the additional gauges that come with them, which may be a problem if you want to add new panels that rely on these gauges.

Beef....they did.  The rest of the post is still here though, and it's two years old....I'm sure the original author has either gotten an answer or moved on.  lol
Great edit, Bob.

I get it now.  I just saw the reply from this morning and didn't bother to look at the date on the original post.
