Help with T404

Postby Staiduk » Mon Apr 04, 2005 9:21 pm

'Lo all!

Beeg away a while; glad to be back; at least for a few days. :)

Anyhoo; I've tried playing with the .air files again; and one of the things bugging me is the PM2 Concorde's enormous 10 deg. nose up attitude in cruise flight.
I went checking down this forum; and found the correction to be in line t404 of the air file. The porblem is; t404 is a table; and aside from hex editing - which is a total mystery to me - there doesn't appear to be a way to modify it.

can someone please give me a few pointers on using line 404 to adjust the Concorde's cruise flight pitch?

Thanx. :)

Thanks!

By accident (by way of update); I realized that if you selext 'x' or 'y' while on the table you can edit one of those 2 values. I've tinkered with it a bit; changing one or the other to see what happens. Other than gettin a constant STALL warning when I changed Y to 10.00 from 0 (though flight seems unaffected); there has been no effect whatsoever. Odd.

The only thing that does change the pitch angle is the one thing I don't want to do: chenge the lift in the .cfg. That'd make the plane way too easy to fly. :)

Hello StaidUK,
you want the AirEd or AAM editors from

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/hsors/FS_Soft/fsairfile.html

and support at:

http://www.avhistory.org/scripts/MegaBB ... ?forumid=5

and search for other people who had T404 explained to them.

Hello Arthur,

Yes get the Jan 2005 version of AirEd.ini from Herve's site; the first one I gave you.

OK, thanks!

And by the way, Arthur is just part my Email address, my real name is Tim and most people around here just call me Tacit or TB.  ;)
