I took this path to fix my FS-9 problum

Postby a12 » Sun Apr 10, 2005 3:13 pm

First I moved my aircraft folder to my documents floder. Then I uninstalled FS9. I reinstalled it and  while I don't need all those aircraft in folder I moved some back into the new aircraft folder. It's working for now? I want to take the time to thank everyone who offered help. Chaplain ;)

What about the effects, the gauges, the sound, the modules and the whatever else needed for some planes?

I hope you're right...any add-on aircraft that had panels with plane specific gauges are in the gauges folder....Same with any custom sounds, etc...
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

FS2004 allows gauges to be placed in the 'panel' folder of the a/c. (A good way to check out new a/c, then if other a/c need the files they can be moved to the 'gauges' folder so you dont need dups.)

Not sure about sound, effects.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Yes, gauges are allowed locally in the panel folder, not so for effects and sounds, though.

Tried it. Did not work.

Does FS9 even fully uninstall, or does it leave some files behind?
I remember FS8 leaving the sound, effects, gauges and such behind.
