Outdated Flight Chart(s)?

Postby sir_knight57 » Thu Apr 07, 2005 11:10 am

Is there anywhere online that we can go to download "actual" flight charts of anywhere in the world [even specific locations] that would be FREE because they are outdated?  :)

You mean approach plates and the like?

Or are you talking about sectionals? (maps)

Here are a couple more

http://www.myairplane.com/index.php (Click on NACO Approach Plates)

http://www.airnav.com/ Everything used to be free here.  Still some useful information, though.

Dear Sir Knight 57

For update charts and some written data try. AirNav.com.

I have flown Sim ways, form SimCharts by Jeppesen charts form 2000 seem to work Ok on ILS, but can't affford new ones.

My concern is when I want ILS approaches the tower most of the time gives me a runnway that doesn't use ILS chart I have so I have to go to the map optionse and find ILS informations.

You could also find some informaton form the new  GPS units in FS9, Garmin 800 espacialy from the Airport approach page.
This is a great GPs but It's a bit hard to find things quickly, so I still like to use the prinited out charts.
Hope this helps JFG IFR and VFR sim pilot.

"and the like . . . "

As a realworld licensed instrument rated pilot this bit piqued my interest. I know what charts are and I know what plates are. What are and the like?

FSCharts.com has free approach plates that you can print.
