Q's to be A'd

Postby The Ruptured Duck » Thu Apr 07, 2005 5:12 pm

I know this has been asked so many times (by me), but is there any news on FS10?

Has the FS team disbanded like the CFS team??

There were a lot of news around at the beginning of the month. ::)

Of course this month being April... I wouldn't bet for them being trustworthy. ;D

Beside those news, though... nothing that I know.

I've been preaching this for a while, but here goes anyway...

I sincrely doubt that M$ would leave a market it dominates.  It has turned a profit on all the recent flight simulation games, and whatever Microsoft Flight Simulator title they put out will be a hit.  Therefore, they would have to be certifiable to not continue the franchise (it just wouldn't make sense business-wise).

What news?  I seemed to have missed it.

I don't think there's been legitimate news, just speculation passed from site to site until someone posts it somewhere as "official".

Besides, we know there's an fsX...haven't you seen the video?  lol
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

As a rule of thumb one generally comes out every two years.

There probably is a good indication that there will be a new FS version because Microsoft itself is screening testers for the new version.  See the MS main website (link on the SImV links page) for the info on the survey.  Also there is a direct link for the screening application sitting right off the main front page here at Simviation.  There are also a couple of threads somewhere here that have been discussing this survey.

So I'd take that as "news" from Microsoft.  But if they are JUST working on this input into the next version survey........... I would guess that the release of any new version will not tend to be EARLY ..... might rather be late.

best,
