Just thought of a new idea. Bump mapping would be a cool feature. All of the textures, the whole sim, would look so much more realistic. If you've watched the CAE systems (www.CAE.com) video, there's a part with an aircraft taking off from an icy runway. It looks amazing  :o  ;D

Better Aircraft

Can be downloaded for FS2004
Better Airport Detail

Can be downloaded for FS2004
More Weather

Can be customised in FS2004
More Realistic themes

Can be downloaded for FS2004 (real world weather).
Better Graphics

Do we really need them?
More airport grounds

Can be downloaded for FS2004

Real Virtual Airlines

Can be downloaded for FS2004
Better ATC

Can be downloaded for FS2004

Conclusion: I am quite happy with FS2004, and I don't want there to be an FS2006, because it will cause many addon developers to move on, and I won't be able to use any of their addons, because MS will probably use the stupid file format seen in CFS3.

What I would like to see with flight simulator 2006 is system requirement resonable for XP or pentium 4 . Also I would like some accents with air traffic control so they have a bit more realism instead of talking to a controller that sounds like the one you where talking to .

I dont have a problem with the way they sound, I would just like to be able to contact them at ALL controlled airports instead of landing w/o permission, and going straight to ground freq. (if you have no idea what Im talking about, I can elaborate)

I would like microsoft to give us improvements to FS9, and sell them as improvements to FS9 rather than a tweak here and there a repack and to be sold basically the same thing under the FS10 label. Also I think at least 1 city per country should be modelled in relative detail.

Well, most of this is mentioned but this is what i would like to see in FS2006

----> Emergency landing clearence on any airport.
----> Co-pilot taking me through the various checklists.
----> Co-pilot giving various calls including V1, Vr, V2, gear up/down, flaps etc (should also have an option to select the voice of the co-pilot i.e., male or female).
----> Cabin annoucements by crew and pilots.
----> A much more realistic cockpit and with various other important buttons like seatbelt switch, no smoking, etc.
----> A cockpit with almost all the gauges and buttons (like in the real cockpit) whether a guage or button is important or not.
----> Realistic night lighting of airports.
----> Scenery should be improved to the max.
----> ATC can be better
----> Weather can be improved.
----> And most of all, it should be like a real world simulator, as microsoft says "as real as it gets".

Didn't really read any others, sorry, 7 pages ::), but BETTER CRASH DETECTION!!, nothing is more irritating than flying NOE and you hit something that doesn't exist, arghhhhhh. >:(  And it would be cool if you could land on ships and stuff instead of just saying you crashed into them.  Sorry, probably a lot of work to do stuff like that, but it would be nice ;) :)

http://www.editvoicepack.com

Editvoicepack is a free program that can add/change callsigns, aircraft manufacturers/types, airport names, and, since V. 3.1, the whole of ATC is customisable.

Their regular updates mean that you don't have to make the changes yourself, but I often end up making callsigns...

I'd really like to see better modeled cities. My hometown looks like crap in the game. Thats about all I'd like to see...I love FS9... :)

As does mine, but I didnt expect much sense they had to do the whole world. When you think about it, both your town and mine are pretty insignifigant.
