Earthquakes (again with option to turn off)

That could be the solution to the "shakey" gauges that jordanj wants on start up!

What we really want is the mini panel feature that allows six basic flying instruments to be displayed in any view ( normally across the bottom of the screen), especially spot plane view. ;)

Well, I think that FS2006 Should have a better ATC with voice activated control.  ;D But some may not have a microphone.  I would also like to see more military aircraft.  I think that in some way, that it should be like an ATC simulator. 8) It wpr;d also be nice to be able to have an airport grounds team (Fuel Truck, Cargo Truck, Tow Car ETC...) and be able to get the airplane ready to go.  But i think that this might happen when FS2010 comes out ;D

Hi all
Newby here, but a Falcon4 vet.

I would like to see a nonliniar event generator, that can be used for:
-realistic failures and emergencies, with the proper airfield response
-disaster situations (like forest fires with interactive response as dropping water from a plane)
-mission generator for the militairy needs, also with peace time training events.
-and dialect ATC for each country
Catcher.

1. Improved frame rates.

2. More accurate flight modeling, preferably using a Blade Element aircraft geometry analsyse based routine similar to X-planes.

3.  Continued improvement to ATC.  IE. The ability to file enroute IFR after starting a flight under VFR.  More ATC options in general when flying IFR.  Emergency declarations.  More routing request options.  Posibly an integration with MS speech SAPI to allow a measure of voice response.

4.  Additional GPS unit options.  Possibly, a KLN-90 look alike.

5. A default weather radar or uplink modeled weather detection which would work through the default gps display.

6. Ability to enter flight plans in addition to direct to through the default gps.  If realityxp can do it, why not the goliath of Redmond?

7. Better looking and more functional default panels.

8. A basic FMC for the jetliners, possibly one that could be used with any add-on jetliner as well. Hey, proflight98 and 2000 had one for those respective sims, how hard would it be to do an updated one????

9. Quite dumbing things down.  Forget youth appeal.  Even as is, most of the sub 20 year olds I know that have tried FS lost patience with it anyway and it ended up collecting dust in their software shelves even as dumbed down as it is.  Appeal  to the hardcores.  We are the ones driving the franchise anyway.

Some things needs to be dumbed down, or the program would become so complex it would take forever to develop it, but I have learned to live with that.
If I want to LEARN something, I will study my books or design aerofoils in X-plane  ;)

Hello to ALL!

I've always had a passion for "Airwolf" and stumbled across the Sim about a year ago.  It wasn't until this past summer that I got FS2002 from Staples for 20 bucks with a 20 buck rebate from MS!  I've gone through the "evolution" of installation and adding aicraft and designing panels and searching downloads and blah, blah, blah!  I tried a G-force 5200 128mb  PCI card but the improvement wasn't worth the 100 plus bucks so I took it back.  After reading the comments here I'm in NO rush to get FS2004 and as far as FS2006 is concerned, let me just echo the opinions of others in saying I would like to see all the current features smoothed out.  Maybe my outlook will change in the future but I get as much enjoyment adding and tweaking as I do in flying..."Airwolf" of course.  FPS high teens to mid twenties, locked at forty, sliders at almost maxed but no wind and only 10% clouds.  Based at "AIRFIELD LMG at KCGX/MEIGS" in Chicago.

Hello everyone,  I just want to say that it's so good to see so many people interested in yet another sim from Seattle. Im not. I have been simming since 5.0 (I still have the 5.0 floppies and books)( and for what Ive spent on sims I could have had at least an ultra-light in my garage ). I remember having to alter Win95 to allow xms/ems to run 5.1a, I remember buying fs95 and thinking it was nice ( as I felt when I bought fs98, fs2000, and fs2002pro ) now it occures to me, why do we need another sim? Build more freeware! As a rule, I dont pay for add-ons ( not since BAO's Flight Shop ) I would like to see better carrier options ( arrestor cables and cats that arent $30 with another $20 for FSUIPC ). I dont care to see another sim come out for awhile ( lets call it FS2008 ) every time I get things just right, the new sim is out and everyone stops building add-ons for the one Im running, so eventually ( as happened with 2004 ) I end up buying another overpriced latte for Uncle Bill ( Gates ) when I buy the next sim. enough! What we should all do in these forums is to thank the true pioneers who have not givin up on us, guys like Chuck Dome ( CommodoreC, Propellerhead ) and awsome designers like Dowson, and Shiguru Tanaka, without these developers and designers, we would all be trying to aerobat the lears more often.

So thanks to the developers and designers and the folks dreaming up for me what I dont have time to dream for myself. Thank you for allowing us to live your dreams with you .

From some of the comments I've seen regarding the developement cycle of this title I am wondering if maybe MS would be better off adopting an upgrade routine like X-plane's.  What if they did a 4 year major  upgrade and just tweaked it based on customer feedback by upgrade downloads which could run on bi-annual cycles???

Of course, they already do that with XP and that isn't always the picture of perfection.

What if they added support for damage and weapons and sold future versions of CFS as add-ons for the civil sim???

I give up. I'm half tempted to burn some bandwidth time and download Flightgear, lol.

I want:

An espresso machine in the cockpit of every plane.
Stewardesses (Stewardi?) dressed as French maids.
A mint on the pilot's seat when I arrive.
Every Bogart film ever made shown exclusively on my plane.
Avgas to be $1.02 a gallon
A free Hummer to drive back and forth to my virtual house.
