FS9 crash to desktop.

Postby Robert_Bance » Sun Apr 03, 2005 3:14 am

I am sure having read about this problem in this Forum. Lately, without warning , my FS9 crashes to the desktop.
No error message, just poof !!! gone. While the reasons could be different fo anyone experiencing the same, their solutions might clue me as where to look. System is a Win96SE, 512 Ram, Vieeo: ATI Radeon 9200 e w/128 memory, which has been running satisfactory for quite awhile. Processor speed 1.4G  Any  idea would help.

When did it start doing it ........ was it after installing any aircraft/scenery etc?

Oh yeah, One or the other or both. The question is which of the installations may be the culprit if any. I notice a black screen and a delay when changing views, I am trying NOt to accelerate this changing view process.
Thanks , Eno for replying.

I would suggest uninstalling the last few things you installed and try again ...... if the problem stops then install the new stuff one at a time and try untill the problem materialises again. That will at least eliminate one variable.

...there's also the old "cure all"...delete fs9.cfg and get a brand shiny new one when you start up the Sim....it really does the trick in any cases....worth a try..........commoner ;)

BTW..Active Camera has been known to do this...don't have it do you?
