supernova, looking at that Spada site, it says at the top:-

"If you have in FS2004 the autopilot with increments of 10 units instead of 1 unit, the problem is due to the unregistred "fsuipc.dll" ver.3 module, that don't allow you to set in the technical page "Fix Contol Acceleration" to "on". Only with the registered fsuipc the problem is solved."

It's easy enough to download the un-registered FSUIPIC - see Saratoga's advice above. But the registered version is going to cost you 30 Euros (about $US40).

Doesn't seem worth it, just for a fuel gauge! As I said earlier, 'Aircraft/Fuel/Fuel' will give you the fuel level in the centre tank; or just pressing 'Shift-Z' a couple of times will give you the percentage of fuel remaining, in red across the top of the screen.

Hello
Does anyone know how to fix the problem of the HDG increments going up in 10 and the ALT in 1000's??? Or is the best thing just to download a new panel??

..well it seems the answer is yes..and no...YES if you spend your hard earned on the required version of FSUIPC...and NO if you don't... your pick. ;)

 There are tons of great panels out just waiting to be downloaded...look around and don't (IMHO) waste your precious simming hours on this....commoner ;)

Commoner,

I downloaded the British Airways livery and I love it.  Is it possible to put all the new 737 - 200 in the same aircraft folder by naming texture files TEXTURE.1; TEXTURE.2 and so on and also modifying the aircraft.cfg to recognize these new folders?

I am wanting to keep the United Friend Ship as a livery as well, but the new AA texture over-rides that one and I get the following in my list of Boeing 737-200 aircraft:

American Airlines (probably was United Friend Ship)
British Airlines
American Airlines

...mmm..I ditched the Friendship livery in fact I put the panel into the complete BA aircraft and dumped the oth er.but don't see why you can't have both in the way you suggest...needs a bit of working out but I'll leave that to you....commoner ;D

sir_knight57, I'll try to help - but I'm always surprised when I get that sort of thing right myself  :)

Each texture has to have a different title and be backed up by a 'fltsim' reference and description at the top of the 'Aircraft.cfg' file.

As an example, if you look at the '.cfg' file for say the default 777, you'll see that the first type reference starts as follows:-

[fltsim.0]
title=Boeing 777-300
sim=Boeing777-300
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=

And the next model reference starts:-

[fltsim.1]
title=Boeing 777-300 Paint1
sim=Boeing777-300
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=1

They then go on with more information, including the airline names etc.

If you 'compare and contrast' the references to the different versions of the 737-200 I expect that you'll find the problem. Probably just that one of the versions has the wrong title.

I told myself that I was not going to get involved with modifying aircraft files and configurations, but I was wrong  ::)

Success is mine!  And I am overjoyed with knowing that I have pulled it off ;D

For those of you interested in saving disk space in your aircraft file folder and you want these 737-200 liveries then download the aircraft[s] mentioned previously in this post and follow these instructions:

1) Rename the texture folders in each downloaded aircraft to TEXTURE.1 (BA); TEXTURE.2 (AA)
**don't type what's in parenthesis in the renaming**

2) Copy these newly renamed texture files into the Boeing 737-200UAL file folder so that you have the following sub-folders within this folder: TEXTURE; TEXTURE.1; TEXTURE.2

3) Open the aircraft.cfg file and modify it with the following configuration. [this is my config and works perfectly]:

[fltsim.0]
title=Boeing 737-200 E.C.
sim=7372
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Boeing737-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-400_ref
atc_type=Boeing
atc_id_enable=1
atc_id=N91SN
atc_id_color=0xffffffff
editable=0
visual_damage=1
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=737-200
ui_variation=United airlines Friend Ship
description=United
atc_airline=United

[fltsim.1]
title=Boeing 737-200 British Airways
sim=7372
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=1
kb_checklists=Boeing737-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-400_ref
atc_type=Boeing
atc_id_enable=1
atc_id=N91SN
atc_id_color=0xffffffff
editable=0
visual_damage=1
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=737-200
ui_variation=British Airways
description=British Airways
atc_airline=British

[fltsim.2]
title=Boeing 737-200 American Airlines
sim=7372
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=2
kb_checklists=Boeing737-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-400_ref
atc_type=Boeing
atc_id_enable=1
atc_id=N91SN
atc_id_color=0xffffffff
editable=0
visual_damage=1
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=737-200
ui_variation=American Airlines
description=American Airlines
atc_airline=American

**DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING BEYOND [GENERAL] in the aircraft.cfg file.  FS2004 will need all that information contained there to get these birds to fly  :o

My file starts with the [FLTSIM.0] and goes down the list.  All you need is to copy the above and insert it into your aircraft.cfg for the BOEING 737-200 series.  This modification will only work if you have the previous Boeing 737-200 downloads.

**PLEASE LET ME REMIND ALL OF YOU THAT BACKING UP YOUR FILE(S) IS NOT A BAD IDEA BEFORE ALTERING WHAT ALREADY WORKS FOR YOU**

Thanks NAV for the conk on the head in getting me to realize what was needed to achieve my goal  :)

Enjoy these beautiful aircraft and happy flying!

I do believe if you delete the autopilot gauge the problem will be solved actually. Not 100% sure, but I have a perfect 737-100/200 autopilot gauge (non-ADV) that would go great. Works just like the real thing. If you are interested, just gimme a yell.
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

Great,  sir_knight, glad you took the plunge!

commoner, I duly turned on my version, pressed 'L', and ALL the lights came on. If yours don't, maybe look at Setting/Hardware/Hardware-rendered lights - the value should be at 5, not 3, which is the default......

That's the good news. The BAD news is that I then clicked on the 'Landing Lights' switch on that 'lovely' overhead panel, and the game crashed...

Looks like a bug - if you get the same thing, I recommend key-commands only. I've only emailed Ken Mitchell so far with thanks and the odd donation, never a problem. I'll mention this to him in case he needs to provide a fix.

....It is only when viewing over the main panel that they don't show.....all other views are ok............in fact when taxiing in spot mode they smartly turn in the direction you turn...cool that. ...commoner ;)
