Changing the Default Aircraft

Postby wilderobb » Mon Mar 28, 2005 8:31 pm

I's been a long time sence I'v changed the Default aircraft on startup and now I can't seem to make it work! I selected an aircraft,time/date Ect. Then I saved the flight as my default.(Checked the box like the book says). However the old default shows up even tho I'v overwritten the other. I think I'v followed all the directions but maybe not. What is the procedure and what do you suppose I'm missing? ( I used to be able to change it before I started going brain dead :o)  Thanks again for any reply, Wildie.

Well here's an idea. Save a flight as the default, exit the sim, go to your Flight Simulator 9 folder, and delete the default Cessna Seattle flight.
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

I've found that the 'make this the default flight' doesnt stick when checked in the 'save flight' dialog.

After saving, got to 'select flight', select it and check the  'make this the default flight', then OK.

Cheers,
Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
