OK, dumb question time again guys. Are FS2004 & FS9 the same or if not what is the difference? can they used interchangeably?

They call it FS9 becasue it's the 9th flight simulator Microsoft has made. So yes, they are the same... :)

Yep.

So,

FS2002 = FS8
FS2000 = FS7
FS98 = FS6
etc, ect

Also, FS2006 = FS10

In the store the box reads: "FS2004, A Century of Flight". When one gets it home and clicks the install icon, it creates a folder named: "Flight Simulator 9"

Believe me, we don't make this stuff up!
