Turning the nose why being pushed...

Postby jrpilot » Mon Mar 21, 2005 8:08 pm

Does anyone know of a way to allow the aircraft to turn its nose when pushing back for start up instead of being pushed straight back?

Yep. Press Shift+P, then immediately press either 1 or 2 depending on the desired direction of turn. It will take about 1 plane length to start turning. If you need to turn immediately, consider doing a powerback if your aircraft is capable.

Unless something has changed you cant steer when using power to back either. The only way is to use the shift+P and pressing 1 or 2 to turn.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Short applications of differential brakes and rudder works wonderfully... ;)

just press shift p to start the pushback, then to turn press 1 or 2 depending on what direction you want, to stop the pushback press shift p again. Make sure you dont press any other buttons when your doing this.

If it's a jet, you're not supposed to be using 'em ;)
