I must note these problems:

1:here's one problem, directly at the microsoft building

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=screen;action=display;num=1105984589

landing mid air, no better way to describe it, and it needs to change

2:
Speaking of terrain, they need to stop using those old satellite images that seem to date back to the early 1990's.

I totally agree, and here's the best part, M$ teamed up with USGS, and you can get Satellite imagery for free

because 2 expressways have been added (in chicago) since those shots

http://terraserver.microsoft.com/

3: just for chicago
Runway 18/36 @ O'Hare has been closed in real life since FS2002, and M$ still has it as a runway, had to use AFCAD to clean that up.
Taxiways at Palwaukee (KPWK) are incorrect, they connect where they shouldn't, and dont connect where they should.

4: they need to add helipads, or someone create a helipad addon ( i want my helistops!!!!!)

i talk too much about chicago, to talk too much at all...

Quite a number of smaller airfields are in the wrong place. e.g's Glenforsa ULL and  Birkdale Sands EGCO ( both in UK), but hey what can you expect when they are covering all the world !

Guys, Microsoft is modeling THE ENTIRE FACE OF THE EARTH. It can be very annoying when people are upset about minor scenery misplacements, considering that chances are the scenery you are refering to is autogen anyway. Please try to keep in mind that ms does not have time to model everything, not even 99% of everything.

Also, there are 24,000 airports in fs9. They can't playtest every one, there are going to be taxiway errors. Just go to avsim and dl a scenery upgrade for the airport.

There, I fixed it, sorry, I've had the flu, had just woken up and man was I in a bad mood (like HULK SMASH sorta mood) Sorry again, changed it as soon as I calmed down, but for anyone who saw what I had written before that still stands  ;)

The ATC is messed up. My opinion wont change until they can handle speed assignments and proper traffic spacing (I guess that's an AI issue too)
ATC also has US rules when it comes to transition altitudes/levels. Huge flaw aswell.

Europe is not well depicted at all, heck most countries here are just generic trees and cityscapes, very uhh stimulating

Despite the fact that FS2004 is far from perfect (scenery mislocation, bugs etc), the concept and realism of the sim is still top notch and I could never complain :).

M$ should allow AI aircraft to change from one parking spot to another. The user can can change parking spots in FS9, but FS9 won't allow the AI to do that.

If FSX [X = roman-numeral 10] is given this option for AI as well, then this can allow the open architecture of the FS series to be even more flexible.A feature like this can also greatly benefit the use of AI car traffic as well.

Right now in FS9, in order to get an AI car to move from one parking spot to another, that AI car has to fly from a runway and land again. This is a major drawback because the runways have to be hidden in some way. You also have to make the AI cars disapear after they takeoff and reappear before landing. This has be done in CFS1. There's an addon P-51 mustang that can turn invisible after you raise the gears and then reappears after extending them.

The taxiways in AFCAD can easily be used as roadways in FS.

Macro-based car traffic can be implimented, but I prefer the AI-based car traffic. This makes it more realistic because the AI can be interacted with in the same way as AI aircraft.

Hey Drumline, I checked out the Terraserver site. I can see my house!!!! :o

M$ needs to improve the resolution of the terrain mesh...

in real life, sao paulo airport (SBSP) is surrounded by buildings which make T/O and landing a real challenge...
in FS it is sitting atop a 200ft  hill in the city and surrounded by a huge grassy area (both hill and grass do not exist)

also the city is cut across by two MAJOR rivers, a very important VFR reference... but in FS they are depicted as tiny winding creeks ::)
If nature wanted a man to fly - It would have given him more money

I know this has been said before, but;

How many of us would buy a "game" that had
20 DVDs, took 3 days to load, needed a 200gb HD,
and cost $5000? And still had the wrong flowers
in my yard?
