Mistakes in FS2004

Postby GWSimulations » Sun Jan 16, 2005 10:17 am

Has anyone noticed any mistakes that MS made in the game?

To give one example, when they repainted some of the airlines colour schemes, they forgot about the AI ones.

Any more little (or big) errors? ::)

I can refuel my plane and no one sends me the bill. Now, I ask you, is that as real as it gets?

A powerplant in my area, with 4 smoke stacks, placed on the wrong side of the river!  Told MS about it after MSFS 2000, still didn't fix it.  If  I knew how, i'd do it my dang self :>)

Yep. There aren't any thermals and the ATC stinks.

I live in Saint Joseph, MO. This town is full of hills and river bluffs, but in FS its almost completely flat. theres mistakes everywhere, but I dont see them as a big deal.

the ATC stinks.

No, it doesn't, the ATC is excellent, stop freakin sayin it isn't, it's getting old.

M$ again, being cheap, didn't put an EICAS screen into the 777 VC, and man is it annoying.

And sorry about that, I have the flu and I'm cranky but it's true.

Okay okay. The ATC doesn't stink. It just lacks some key features, one of which is making intelligent commands at some points.

Actually my biggest complaint is that the terrain isn't right in a lot of places.

There ye go j, that is absolutely true.

Another thing I've noticed is that the 737 is missing the center fuel guage, which is really missed.

also the king air b350 has a messed up fuel gauge.  It will behave strangely as you consume your aux tanks.  Probably due to the reason that they didnt model that you could switch between aux and primary tanks in viewing their quantity.

Speaking of terrain, they need to stop using those old satellite images that seem to date back to the early 1990's.

Examples:

Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport [in real life] is adjacent and to the West of a major Avenue [and it's right next to it] that runs a long way from North to South. In FS they show the Avenue, but the Ave. is off by some miles to the East of it's true location.

There are now some townhouses and stores that are just outside the Northern side of the airports perimeter.

The Port of Miami is not split in two by a body of water.

I can get up-to-date satellite images for cheap online. It shouldn't hurt for M$ to spend a couple more hundred bucks for updated sat images.

Everything else is ok.

They also need to fix that hole in Arkansas.

And one more thing.

When will M$ ever start putting at least a fence around the major airports?

EDIT: The weather should also allow for hurricane conditions. I love to fly around in hurricane-force winds. ;D
