Ground Graphics

Postby MadDriver » Fri Mar 18, 2005 2:38 pm

For the Screenshot contest, I was messing around with my settings to try and get a good looking airplane.  I finally got the results I wanted, but then the ground graphics were horrible.  It's all fuzzy... and kind of resembles the "snow" on a tv.  I tried changing my settings back, but I still can't get my ground to the way it was, which wasn't perfect, but it also wasn't this bad.  Anyone have some ideas?

If you use windows XP or ME you could try using system restore and restore your computer to the previous day.
This might not work but it beats doing a complete uninstall and reinstall. But if it does not work that might be the only thing left.
I am not trying to critizie you but always make back ups of any thing you wish to change.  8)
With out knowing exactly what you did or did not do I am just shooting in the dark here.
I hope you get it fixed without the unistall reinstall.

did you replace any ground textures with addon ones?  I believe your FS9 cd 2 has the original textures in a cab file in which you can unzip.

If by snow, you mean objects 'sparkel', check your MIPS

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
