So what you're saying is that if I were to have my sim installed on a secondary drive ie D: E: F: etc.....

and I were to format my C: drive, I would still be able to run the sim after a full install? Minus my saved flights etc?

Seems to me like there would be some registry entries that would need to be repaired? I didn't know that microsoft had bothered with that sort of stuff. :-)

I'm not sure how much FS9 or any other M$ sim relies on Registry entries. Consider this. I'm on WinMe with a single unpartitioned drive. I somehow messed up Windows & couldn't reinstall it so a friend deleted it completely & did a fresh install to save all my precious files. I found that all my M$ sims ran perfectly afterwards although some other programs would not run without reinstalling them. The only downside being that some of my FS utilities no longer recognise the sims as being installed.

Yeah, the main problem is that most utilities/add-ons use the registry to see what directory FS-9 is installed in ......even to run once installed.
