I guess. This was really more of a "What do you fly more"  than a favorite. Sorry that was unclear

Well now I'm basically flying mostly payware, with PMDG NG the favorite. It's a totally upgraded experience from the default MS airliners, highly recommended.

As for freeware, for Cessna I find myself using that Australian  flying school purple colored plane("Realair King Batman" something?. If I had to judge a best freeware plane, it would be the Howard 500.

The Howard flies interesting Sonic. I suggest if you download it you follow the recomendations closely.  It's very powerful, torque packed and tricky to taxi.  It is a Beech 18 or maybe an Electra on steriods.  I recommend any of Milton Shupe's wonderful retro GA twins.  They haven't gotten nearly the praise they deserve but there is few freeware that tops them.  My favorite freeware aircraft isn't FS9 compatible being the Yannick Lavigne Falcon-50.  I really wish he would do an FS9 upgrade but it dates to FS 2000 so that would probably take a total from scratch redo.  My favorite payware so far is 737 NG but I like the Wings of Power planes and the MAAM B-25 just as much in a different just for fun way.
