landing, downloads...

Postby gbwnab » Fri Mar 11, 2005 2:50 pm

Hi,
I want to download the FS Airport Chart Viewer so that I can see all the airport details...Apparently I am supposed to download the Manuels Service Pack 3??
Can anyone tell me where to find that and where do I install it to??

Refering to the glideslope....and the ILS feathers:

Once I have found out the frequency that I need, I am supposed to input that number into the radio stack?? I'm having problems doing that....Which radio stack?  When I turn the knobs, they won't go to the frequency that I need??  Is there any that will just tune to the specific frequency automatically??

Thanks!

ILS freqs will go in the Nav1 radio.  Chances are you're trying to input it into the active freq, you have to dial it in one the window to the right.

Make sure you are trying to dial into Nav1 and not the comms channel. Also like Beefhole says, on some aircraft there is an active and a standby frequency for each radio, if that is the case with the aircraft you are flying then you can only alter the standby frewquency and then flick the changeover switch to make it active.

Cant help you with chart viewer but the Map gives you the frequencies if you hover on the runway with your mouse. I use FSNavigator which gives all frequencies and much more, though its payware.
