Frame Rates

Postby dakota-flyer » Thu Mar 03, 2005 1:10 pm

Hey all,

I just found a download (at surclaro.com) that claims to increase frame rates signficantly.  It's called FPS_PATCH_fs9.

Just wondering if anyone had tried it yet.  Any results?

...mmm...just tried it out..POSSIBLY just a couple more frames but just knocks out some of the autogen...probably same as turning down the Autogen slider....not impressed dak..but thanks for the link anyway....I'll check it out more before I condemn it though  as any improvement is always welcome..commoner  ;)

I flew last night with the new file.  I did see an increase of 5-10 FPS.  No noticable loss anywhere else.

I'm keping the changes

Its available many places, just google the file name.

This appears to be similar to an fps boost hint I picked up here or somewhere a while back.

From that hint.......

[quote]1. In the main FS2004 folder you will find a subfolder called Autogen.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
