multiplayer ATC & IFR flights

Postby mhaury » Fri Feb 18, 2005 1:51 am

Can anyone tell me if there is a utility or something that will allow the tower to talk with players in a multiplyer game on a LAN? We love flying at work but would really like to hear from the tower as in single player mode.
I may not be able to check the forum for a while so if you could email me at mhaury45@starband.net if you have an answer I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Email isn't functioning...

but for all those who are wondering, the AI ATC will not function in multiplayer mode.  You can, however, have another player be the role of ATC through a program called Manuels' ATC Radar Screen.  It's in the simviation archives somewhere...

mhaury,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

One of the standrads of voice communications for multiplayer is "Teamspeak".

Don't forget VATSIM, IVAO, eSkyWorld and WestCoastATC...

Thanks for all of the quick responses. I'd surely love to use the programs mentioned but "work" is a boat and there are only two of us on the LAN. If one was the tower and one flying...that would get old pretty quick! LOL. Oh well...we'll see what MSFS 2006 has in store. Thanks again,

Mark :P

Ive tried VATSIM once, its neat, but the software itself is confusing, and it taxes some of my graphics in the game for some strange reason.  Ive been wanting to try out IVAO and other multiplayer places with ATC, but i don't know the links?   ???
Cheers,
RB

I actually would suggest Flight Project:

Very simple software to install. Very simple start up procedure and very helpful folks.  ;)
