Hi raj..you could get software to do the job....but if you press the Printscreen key at the right moment you can then paste it into PSP or Photoshop from the clipboard...best though would be to click on the Upload Images tab at the top of this page and you will see a link to a tutorial and a link to download Irfanview which is a favourite bit of software for preparing your screenshots for uploading Ok?..now lets see some action..commoner

Raj..Grabclipsave makes taking screenies super easy. Download it, it's free. Follow the instructions, then it's as easy as pressing the "print screen" key on your keyboard. Once you've mastered that, you'll need to re-size your photos to meet our sites guidelines. eg. max. size 800 x 600, 100k limit. You can do this with Ifranview. Look at commoners next entry on where to get it!
Don't hesitate to ask more questions if you need help! :)

Get FSScreen and IrfanView . . . both are free online.

P.S. I have FSScreen running in the background
P.P.S. don't leave home without them (using Flightsim)

oOo, you saved a pic of my post!

if you don't want the hassle, hit PRT SCR (print screen), between F12 and Scroll Lock.

it acts like a CTRL + C

then open a smple program like M$ Paint, and PASTE it there.

save to JPG format. simple as that, if you want to take a quick pic and show it on SimV.

well, at least this is how I do it... unitl i become unlazy to d/l infranview

I use Grabclipsave and Irfanview, they work great. a little warning though, Irfanview can be a little tricky at first, but Im sure someone here can point you twords a tutorial. I dont know where to find one, as I never used one because I am the stubborn type who insists on figuring out myself...

Here's what I do.

Use the Print Screen key, open up Paint Shop Pro, then select a new image and then paste. From there, I crop the unwanted details out and apply a slight contrast/hue adjustment, and a slight unsharp mask.

Then I upload them here using the Upload Images link at the top of each forum page and then post the images.

Actually all you need  is  Irfanview as it can also do what "Grabclipsave" can.

...Yep..TacitBlue is correct...Irfanview does the lot..so Wji why do you use BOTH...isn't that just complicating things?

...just one point is that taking screenshots for posting in Simv. by whichever method is just fine if you have a screen res.of 800x600 or less. Otherwise they will be too large and need downsizing to be accepted for posting, but even MS Paint can do that.commoner ;)
