Removing Given Planes

Postby Suparawee » Wed Feb 09, 2005 2:14 am

Hi!
Does anybody know how to get those wield airlines given with the game out and let only downloaded planes become AI planes? I downloaded many cool airlines but seemed like it was only me who fly downloaded one, not the AI. Is there anyway to do that? Thanks ;D

Hi Supar........one great way to get different airlines into your sim is to go to Project AI and get, first the installer and then as many different airlines as your system can handle....have a look here and post back if you need help with it..commoner ;) . http://www.projectai.com/index.php
PS Click on the OFFICIAL FILES link when you get to the site...

You can also add planes into flight sim which you have downloaded using TTools  ;D

But, I would be careful about "getting rid" of any default planes as many "downloaded" ones will alias to their panel, gauges etc. In other words leave 'em there and change your aircraft.cfg with Traffic tools, exchanging the new AC for the old.

That's what came into mind when I was considering doing that.  Know what I did? deleted the original texture and replaced them with "real" airliners texture and callouts ;)

Step by step:

1.Download TTools.
2.From within TTools menu go to root MSFS directory, then: scenery\world\scenery,locate traffic030528.bgl file, then press "decompile".This file contains AI traffic. After decompiling you'll have three files:
1.Aircraft0300528.txt
2.Airports030528.txt
3.Flightplans030528.txt

Open Aircraft030528.txt with notepad and replace aircraft titles with what you want to see in your traffic.
It means-you go to folder of desired aircraft, open it's aircraft.cfg file and copy it's title line. Then paste it into Aircraft030528.txt instead of existing titles.Save it.
That's all.
In TTools go to these three files and select them.
Press "compile".You have your own traffic.Enjoy!
