Good Scenic flights?

Postby T-Renn » Sun Jan 23, 2005 2:33 pm

Does anyone have any good flights to recommend? I was thinking of doing some prop flights from A to B while flying at low altitudes and looking at the scenery around me, but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?

If you like the wilds, mountains and forests etc then either Canada, or the southern island of New Zealand are great ;) Lots of little airstrips, so potter around and see where you like. Norway is laso nice ;D

With the right scenery packs every flight is scenic, check out the payware forums for some tips on good packs... *cough*fsgenesis*cough*

Anyways, I enjoy flying over the Rockies... good stuff.

I always find that Alaska always has fantastic scenery, lots of little airstrips & plenty of mountains / valleys.  Personally I think it's hard to beat Alaska on a clear day.

I usually take off from anywhere near the coast & then see where i end up - I just pick an airfield out of the 'nearest' ones on the GPS & see what happens.

As a tip, you might find it more than helpful to use the amphibious Cessna for these flights  ;).

Hope you like it if you try it.
