Frequencies

Postby musnkatz » Thu Jan 20, 2005 3:24 pm

...has anyone engineered a frequency-changing device? Everytime I fly a big bird and I have my radio on for a flight-follow, I am so busy changing frequency channels for hand-offs, I barely have time to navigate an approach.. ::)
Thanks for any input..

Just use the auto-tune. It's not cheating-in real life, the co-pilot would be handling comms while you flew.

Hi Beefhole..
Thanks for your input. I checked my settings>ATC, and there was no autotune. There is Show ATC Text, Auto-Open ATC Window (which doesn't help when being handed off to another control center), and Use A Pilot Voice. These are all activated..:-|

I think what beefhole is referring to is the ATC window that pops up...just hit "1" to tune the new frequency instead of manually tuning it on the radio stack.

You can also pause the sim too!

have you noticed that some of the ATC window's options are between brackets?

the options between brackets are ACTIONS not messages, as in [tune SoCal center at xxx.xx]
pressing the corresponding number will perform that action...

it's really simple ;)
