crj900

Help.
I installed the crj900 off Pg82 and the update, but I couldn't fly it because every time i started Fs9 it came up with ''Aircraft initialization failure'' so I deleted the Crj900 but I now get when I start up Fs9 a box with crj900fac453 less GPWS Initialization failure--CLOSE-
I Close- and Fs9 won't run just comes up with End program
Anyone Know how to solve this problem 'cause I,d like Fs9 back and I would like to fly the Crj900

It should work fine. Recommend reading pete's tutorial on installation :)

John - this is a good aircraft but tricky if you are nbew to installing aircraft.

I suspect you have put some files in the wrong folders

Unzipping the file you will see this - add the CONTENTS of the folders into the respective folders in FS9

Image

Note the files need to be added to different folders in FS9 & the 3 dll files go in the main FS9 folder

The 'Aircraft' folder needs to be opened & you see this

Add these 2 files to the Aircraft folder in FS9

The aircraft is a great one & well worth adding.

What you need to do is find where you placed the dll files & remove them.  Then re-install correctly.

Thanks Pete - I had exactly the same problem as Johnr.

Didn't know I was a nbew  >:( but ok, for this plane I apparently am.

(But how on earth did you find this out?)

I just got the crj 700 from http://www.premaircraft.com/index.html and there were no problems at all. And what a fantastic job they did on it. They also have the 900.

I am a newby too  :o . So call me lucky or maybe I just followed there very simple instructions I don't know.

Hi Guys
I have looked through all the files in the Fs9 folder and I cannot find the "crj900fac453 lessGPWS" to delete so that I can proceed and get Fs9 back and then I will be able to reinstall CRJ900--any ideas?
TIA

Hi Jonr  I think the GPWS refers to one of the parts of the aircraft you downloaded, maybe a gauge...Ground Proximity Warning System....don't know if that helps much but that particular CRJ900 does boast such a system I know. commoner :)
