I dont know if it has been said before, but I would like support for in flight refueling of fighter jets form tankers like the KC-135.

Now THAT would be cool. I wouldn't really expect Microsoft to spend development time on it though seeing as they're concentrating on the civilian aircraft.

I dont even fly fighters that often myself, but that is something I have always wanted to try in a sim.

I think I've heard in some old topic that MS is combining the CFS and FS series into 1 game, making sort of a do-anything flight sim. So, who knows? And btw...

After flying people for thousands of miles, I will like to be flown. There is a similar function on MSTS but this one I will expect u will be purely a passenger when u choose to (In TS, even in pax seat, u r still the 1 in ctrl of the train) and an AI pilot flies. I also expect that the passenger be allowed to choose their departure/arrival airport and not be restricted to fly on just routes that are originally available as AI ATC flight plans.

[quote]Update the engine to allow 3D gaming and interactivity besides airplanes.

Sort of like Operation Flashpoint. Also could mean actual running around into out of airplanes, cleaning or fueling planes and deicing with a hose hehe. And actual interior airports. Going into airport lobbies and control towers etc.

If you can find a copy of Janes F-15, it has EXCELLENT accuracy in in flight refueling and modern combat. whatever happened to Janes sims?

Hi, I'm new to these forums, although I've been using MSFS since FS98, and I've been using Simviation for a long time. Great site.

A few things I would like to see are:

I would like the AI to get off the runway quicker. It takes them an unrealistic amount of time to leave the runway, and can be really frustrating in a busy airport.

I don't really see the point of all these landmarks in the cities, for somewhere like London I just find that it doesn't add to the experience. What I mean is having Tower bridge, and the Dome etc. is all very well, but what about all the bit's in between, to me it just looks rubbish ( I know it would take some serious computing power to have the bit's in between.) I'd turn it off, but it reduces the detail of the airports. I'd much rather see more detailed and varied autogen scenery i.e. city areas with office blocks etc. I'd also rather see the my computer resources used to better effect on natural scenery and airports.

all the points said before I agree with, especially emergency landings and atc. And having the co-pilot talk to atc on long flights.

I think the weather effects are brilliant, but do something about reducing frame rate problems.

Well whatever they do it better be worth buying as FS9 was not a world greater than 2002. I'm glad I upgraded - but it wasn't as great as I hoped to be perfectly honest. ::)

Hmm, strange it was just the opposite for me.  I got more than i'd expected.

I hope that idiot at the head of MS is reading this, there are lots of great ideas.  But, what if he didnt need to reed this? What if he can read our minds?  I know how he could read our minds... Starbucks coffee.....thats iT!, microsoft and Starbucks have started a conspiracy to take over the world.  He puts very tiny computers in those chocolate sprinkles that reads our minds! I knew it was too good to be true, that great taste of their coffee is just a cover for their world domination plot!

Yes there are many downloads for thermals but they are to erm how do you put it static, i.e. once you know where the thermals are they are always there.

What I want is random dynamic thermals that vary in strength, size, position.

They are there in real life and effect all aircraft not just gliders!  You can use them in light aircraft to gain alt quicker if required.

here's me again

what i would like to see is NOT hyper-detailed aircraft or photorealistic scenery - users can make such things themselves

what i expect of FS2006 is more possibilities... we don't need better stuff, we need MORE stuff to work with

we need to see things that FS has NOT included before such as:

working ground crew, with moving jetways and trucks and that guy with the bright orange sticks that guides the planes into parking

less rigid flight dynamics, give the man the ability to make a Whispercraft or a Harrier for that matter

emergencies... and a realisctic chance of something going awry

let us break the sound barrier for once

and for the first time, PLEASE!!!! better computer resource usage, i can't max out FS2004 now even with a top-notch PC

FMC gauges... at least simplified ones

a more user-friendly SDK, maybe with step-by-step tutorials

i want to see aircraft casting shadows on themselves

i want to see clouds casting shadows on the ground (realistic lighting and shading)

none of this has been done before ::)

in a nutshell, i think MS should focus on adding those things that users can't - always keeping it backwards compatible tho

c ya

BOYCOTT STARBUCKS COFFEE!!!

HEY! I love Starbucks!

What would I add? A virtual co-pilot for those with microphones. Also, the ability to train FS to allow you to "talk" to ATC.

Thats my pointless post.
