Hmm, if microsoft came and asked me what I would like to see on FS2006...

That the sim would run on my old piece of junk computer with full graphics settings!  ;D
Cheers,

Here's two real good reasons why msfs isnt everything you wnat it to be out of the box, and never will-

1. The dont have the time!  They're modeling the entire surface of the earth and 24,000 airports accurately!  Plus all the planes and in-box editing elements, how do you play-test all that?

2.  They have the freeware-shareware-payware community.  For every fs game that has ever, ever come out there has been an absolutely incredible community behind it 100%, devoting their time to making extremely high-quality aircraft, scenery, utilities, etc. for a hobby they do in their spare time.  Look at it from M$' viewpoint-why should they put the immense amount of time into making very, very high quality aircraft when a) it would take time away from the other important things theyre doing and b) theres gonna be a lot of downloads released shortly after the game is? When you can rely on a game communtiy to do these things for you, do!

However, the default 777 was unnacceptable, the 2d panels have been the same for 3 frickin installments, things ned to be more fps friendly, and declaring emergencies would be nice :)

I have been simming for about a year.  I have fs2002 & pro and fs9.  what I would really like to have them add is the complete and correct panels and gauges for the aircraft in question.  Even after all the help and suggestions from my fellow simers I have given up on trying to download, extract, cut & past and any other exercize thats needed to accomplish this action.  It would seem that it would not be that hard to do since these items are already available.  I would also assume that these items could be replaced if someone wanted to so.  happy new year to all, captjim

As a simmer of an unhealthy length of time, I can honestly say there are but a few things I'd suggest.

1.  Emergencies.  It's about freakin' time.

2.  Crash effects.  Yes, 9/11 was sad, and there are going to be meatheads who crash into buildings in the sim on purpose.  But for the rest of us, just knowing that we had a hard landing could be quite beneficial!

3.  VA Tools....VAs are so popular, but sadly so many of them shut their doors within a month of launching.  With adequate resources, this may not be the case.

4.  An FMC.

5.  Passable Checkrides.
Great edit, Bob.

1. I want my wings to fall off if I give the plane too many G's.

2. Heat blur/waves from the engines.

3. Vapor from the wings in high humidity conditions.

4. More accurate skyscrapers. (Dallas is accurate, Fort Worth 30 miles away is not)

5. Bridges and overpasses.

I realize we're probably a few video card generations away from most people being able to run all those, but they would be nice to have ;D

:D   Traffic Collisions Avoidance System (TCAS) in the VSI- Instrument. Make it simple when you add on more aircrafts you can install this to them as well. ;D
