Assistance Requested!!

Postby -Scythan- » Mon Jan 03, 2005 3:17 pm

In my attempt to listen to CDs while flying in my F-14D SuperTomcat - I downloaded a NO CD crack for FS2004 (Don't worry mine is a legal copy) and also in my foolishness - I did not back up my original! :O - If you were to know me this is amazingly humerous I am always t he one to back things sadly, this one time It didn't occur!
So I have found the 9.1 patch, and the 9.1 no CD crack, however to install the patch I need the ORIGINAL 9.0 .exe      I have most major IM programs, minus ICQ - So if anyone can help me by sending me the original .exe I would be EXTREMELY grateful and of course give the 9.1 no CD crack as well.

Just reinstall the program,....and then after doing that add the no-cd patch back in.  Simple. No need to get anyone to send you anything.  It's sitting right there in your stack of Microsoft CD's already.

best,

Yes, this is true - I could reinstall but I have already Mod-ed this game heavilly, and Do not wish to this agian - nor mess my registry up and go through clearing it out, I'm a neat freak :S

I surely don't want to re-mod all the stuff I need to for that... It'd be far easier for someone to just send me a single .exe...

fs9.exe will be on one of your CDs. It should be easy enough to retrieve it from there.

to confirm what has been said its on your cd. No re-install is needed just a simple copy and paste of the file. Nothing else will be altered

And just to add to what everyone else has said.

It would be illegal for anyone else to send it to you.

Ah, I went to try Haggar's idea of extracting of the CD, and whaddya know, the file is there on Disc I, and NOT EVEN IN A .CAB file! Huh-rah! I then also forgot to come back to the forums and tell you fine people it worked! My apologies!
I have extracted it, updated, and replaced with the 9.1 No CD, and I am now crusing the skies to proper tunes (Danger Zone, man...)

I thank you all for your assistance!
