I am right now enroute from SEQU to SEMA  in a 737-700. I will land on runway 19 if nothing bad happens.

I will keep you updated.

So.. Runway 19 was impossible, because of that hill in front of it. After two missed approaches, i have landed on runway 1, without any problems. The plane braked in time.

Awwwwwwwww  :'(

I'm going to have to give this a shot when I get home. Any idea how long the runway is? I'm pretty sure I can do it, we'll see  ;D

I supposed now I'll start at the approach and find out what the largest plane is that can handle that.

I made it in a 737-700 with 10% fuel (to limit the weight) but I have not tried anything bigger. I suppose you could make it in a 757 if it was light enough.

That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they

I just made it w/the 747  :o

Granted, it took me about 3 tries to get the descent down. Had about 20% fuel.  Leveling out at the end of the approach is a BIOTCH  ;D

I was just tooling around and shot a perfect approach and touchdown with the An-225 (biggest plane around!) but it didn't count since I went way off the runway ::).

In Victor Stanescu I found someone of my size, I see.

Beautifull pictures of 10GS in the learjet!

I'm still practising .... but I allways fly in the same aircraft (controling one aircraft is difficult enough).

For all of you that have your spoilers fully out on final(I can see them in use in your screen shots), you are dead right there.

Deploying spoilers with flaps past 5 degrees (i think that's the limit) is suicide.  :)

lol sorry.  I don't have the exact information.  But I do know, spoilers do exactly that...they spoil lift.  Plane won't fly too well when lift is being forced out of the equation.   ;)

Actually, if you wanna be technical, spoilers are never deployed fully in flight.  They are used as speed brakes to help slow the aircraft down in which case they would be rased to a certain degree...but never fully as far as I know.

As I said before: we can learn a lot here.

I use spoilers as (air-)breaks, if I have to. Without being killed by it, so far. And spoilers only have two possibilities: they are in, or they are out - you can't raise them to a certain degree (well, I can't).

For me, the landings of JKNIGHT and 10_Gs are great.

But maybe we can invite Silver to make the landing (without using spoilers in the air)?

Succes!
