I think flying around in jamaica is quite cool, I very often make Kingston my base...but innsbruck and klagenfurt are pretty nice too...

Mainly Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge (GKT) my home area, the Smokey Mountains are nice ;)

It wasn't until recently I started to venture into other lands, for some reason I forget that I have the world in my computer.

Not too long ago I took Glacier Girl on a trip she started 60+ years ago, from Maine into Labrador through Greenland and so on, recreated Operation Bolero, this time she made it ;)

Hey everybody! New member; First post!

I definitely fly the most obscure routes since I purposefully look for them. So far, that'd be Station Alert, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada. Northernmost airport on the globe. Takes a loong time to fly to the Canadian far north. Someday I'm gonna try McMurdo Sound, which should be the most remote airfield of all.

I would say the most remote places I fly to are the places I've been in real life, and the places around that. Most of my flights start from 42A, and some of my destinations are XNA, KRED, 14M, KEDW, and Echo Valley. Lots of fun flying in the middle of nowhere.

Glenforsa on the Isle of Mull off Scotland is pretty obscure, and very scenic. MS have the landing strip in the wrong place by about 400metres, but I have repositioned it using AFCAD

I like to fly around the ski resorts in colorado off of I-70. It makes for nice moderate mountain flying. I usually fly out of Leadville (KLXV), then head to Aspen (KASE), and end up at Eagle County (KEGE).

I also enjoy Mt. Everest and the surround areas.

Mt. Mc Kinley in Alaska is pretty cool too. One side of the mountain is moderately flat while the other side is several miles of harsh terrain until you get to a small airport.

There is a small airport about a mile from my house that I like to fly around (F04), but you'll need a small prop plane to land there. I can't even get the King Air slow enough to not overshoot the strip  ::)

Apart from my usual flights between San Francisco and Los Angeles, I occasionally pop over to Locarno, (LSZL), in northern Italy... 8)...!
Lots of mountains, and a nice lake for my flying boats.
I have populated the airfield with my LAGO FSSE objects, and changing the weather from warm Summer, to snowy Winter gives me lots of nice, varied, scenery to fly around...!
(Have you noticed the water doesn't freeze over in Winter)...LOL... ;D...!

Cheers all...!

Paul.

I picked this spot because it appeared in an article in one of my "Pilot" monthly magazines... ;)...!

whenever i feel like flying somewhere really forgotten, i always find myself at Abakan, Russia... no destinations closer than 500nm  ;D ;D

these god-forsaken places are great for trying out those video-card-intensive aircraft when you're short on FPS ;)
