Postby Wing Nut » Sun Dec 05, 2004 10:31 am

Where do you like to fly that no one else does?

Sometimes I'll take off from the Forks, WA airport and fly to the Quillayute Indian Reservation and then fly up and down the Washington Coast.  I also like to fly through the Olympic Mountains and around Mt. St. Helens.

I'll also take off on some occassions from NYC's JFK airport and fly straight to Manhattan to take in the urban scenery before heading up to Niagara Falls.

I do all of this in a helicopter. I don't fly airplanes much.

Hmm well there are lots of former Eastern Bloc areas I like, and I've got all the Hungary add-ons (including my local airport, hello M$ we are European servicing here, we exist!!!).
But my testing work is normally conducted in my secret New Zealand Lair, not far from Bazzas house (thanks again for those add-ons Bazza ;))

Most of the time I fly all over Africa. Default flight is Lagos (Nigeria) to Benin (Nigeria) with the AC500.  :)

I havnt flown much in the area but I like to fly in greenland.  Nice scenery there, plus if you fly at night you get to see the Northern lights! Try it!
Cheers,

Hmmm, well Number 1: Peru, I recomend you all go there ;) especially if you like moderate bush flying. Its hoy some great mountains and Hills with green jungle and valleys a truly beutiful flight. Most of the runways are grass strips but some are paved and well what can I say. Heres a screen shot(not I was flying over some of the smaller errain as I was in a Gulfstream 8)

2. Nepal, this could quite possibly be my first choice but Peru is greener and not as a bad land look. Now for those who dont Know Nepal is home to Mt. Everest(well actually the boarded of nepal and Tibet go straight the the center of the Everest Summit) so you can guess theres gonna be some large mountains. This place is not for the ight of heart and it takes some alot of work to fly in there, this place is Bush flying to th extreme so thats why its my second choice because the flying is extremley unforgiving. Here is a pic of Nepal about 5 miles south of Mt Everest, again its dosent look to bad but those uhh the landings and takeoffs are a force to be reckoned with.

St Mary's on the Isle's of Scilly. Followed by Plockton on the west coast of Scotland. And then there's Benbecula in the Western Isles.

Hey - nice Gulfstream there Gunnerman  ;)

If I want to go somewhere remote with noone else around and just fly with no interruptions I go to Aussie Creek, a little grass strip that's right out in the outback - so small I doubt you'd find it on any other sim even  :)

Just a handy NDB so it's easy enough to find, fuel if I need it and a bed for the night (just watch out for the bugs)
