Ad-Aware

Postby chief1995 » Tue Dec 21, 2004 1:11 pm

After I installed Ad-Aware by Lavasoft, FS9 would not start. Has anyone else had this poblem?
FS9 started after I did a restore to a point before installing Ad-Aware. But I want to be sure that was what caused the problem.

Thanks,

Chief

Hi Chief. I use Ad-Aware & Spybot regularly. I've never known either interfere with any programs including my M$ sims. I'm on WinMe so I don't know if the WinXP versions would cause a problem. I very much doubt it.

Make sure you download the latest ad-aware version and remove all spyware. You may have a problem with Win XP SP2 if you are using an older version.

Never had a problem with Ad-aware and FS9.

I like the Spybot immuize feature, it blocks the bad tracking cookies from IE 6 by putting the block list in Privacy > Sites > list tab.

Down with spyware and tracking crap!
