Video Recording

Hi, is there anyway that you can record "In Flight". or better yet, record yourself landing, from the control tower?

Just a thought

Cheers

If you do an instant replay you can view it as often as you want from every view available - panel, vc, tower and spot.

But it isn't a recording. Once you do another flight the last one is over-written.

Quick and easy fix....download a program such as Fraps to grab a video capture of your screen.  Throw it into the movie making software of your choice (I prefer Pinnacle Studio 9, but Windows Movie Maker will do you fine), and you're good to go.
Great edit, Bob.

Fraps is the one that I use to save a recording. But like Rollerball said do an instant replay of either cockpit, spot, or tower view and then start the fraps capture to save it.
The thing is, you are still a live when they start to eat you.

allosaurus, you have given me new hope. I tried fraps with FS9 while flying, and it crashed the program. Even taking stills was dicey. Am I correct in assuming by your post that  it will work for capturing a FS replay clip?

Really depends on your specs, but the latest version of FRAPS is much better than its predecessor.

Or, if you have a TFT and a video camera (DV, digital, mobile phone etc) simply point it at the screen and picture quality is just fine.

Fraps just records anything that's on your screen (minus the cursor...its magic)....so yeah, you can record your playback.
