Changin View Causes Noise

Postby Bijan77 » Sun Dec 12, 2004 6:55 pm

This problem has started not to long ago and is getting really annoying. When i switch views it will sometimes freeze for a second or two and make a scratchy noise. I have ran addaware on it and turn off all other programs but still seems to have the same problem. My system is a P4 3.1Ghz with 1gig of ram and a ATI 9600 video card.

thanks in advance

The last time I had that problem, it was due to a failing CD-RW device...

Take a look at your event viewer and see what it says...

PM me if you don't know how to access it.

Also what type of sound card are you using?

I notice in some games that the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS will have a snap, krackle or pop on occasion. Never noticed one in FS9 though, but have in CSF1.

Probably down to a problem with the cereal port..

Is this happening everywhere?  Even when you're at 35,000 ft and clear skies?  If it's only happening when yo're taxiing at JFK, it may be just a simple FPS problem.  If it's happening everywhere, then it's a hardware problem.
