Default Flight Niggles!

Good evening fellow Simmers,

My FS9 won't let me change my default flight.Each time I create a potential new flight and click the "save as default" box,the program reverts to the previous default(which is King Air 350/Active runway/Rimini).I've tried removing the files from the "My Documents" folder but the message on start-up reads "Error-cannot find default flight-searching for original default flight.This,of course is the cessna default we all know and hate!
It would seem that there is some form of corruption but I'm at a loss to know what that might be. Has anyone any thoughts on how I might solve this small but niggling problem?

Create a flight you want as default and first choose 'Fly'

When sat there save the flight as 'New_Default'  when saving the flight there is a tick box down bottom to 'Set as default'  Tick it then!

Ok it should be ok now  ;D

U need to have the flight saved before you can make it default I believe

Hey, I had that problem too.  Whatever & however I saved a flight, it would never save as a default.

Many simmers gave me many, many answers..... none worked.  I eventually tried an FS9 reistall Even that failed because I forgot to manually delete the XPuser/files!

Eventually, I got sooooooo fed up, I reistalled AGAIN, this time making sure I removed ALL trace of the previous installation.

MicroSoft even sent me a REPLACEMENT set of disks, explaining it was a 'known issue'.  That didn't fix it either.

Thanks Gixer but it does'nt work the way you decribe.I'm inclined to agree with Philsymonds.I don't think it can be fixed.The corruption happened when I landed in Rimini(where,coincidentally I lost the runway roll sound aswell) and that is where the default is stuck.It's not a big issue .I just thought someone might have a solution on their fingertips.
