Doors Won't Open

Postby bcstover » Mon Nov 22, 2004 12:40 pm

For some reason I am unable to open doors, hatches, etc. on planes for which that is supposed to be possible.  I believe I'm supposed to hit "Control + E (simultaneously)" and then 2, 3, or 4.  But nothing happens when I do that.

Could I have some setting wrong somewhere in the "Settings" section of FS9?  Is there someplace in the aircraft.cfg file that I can check for an error?

Does anyone else experience this problem?

Sometimes designers set extra doors to odd keys like tailhook, best to read the readme, it normally holds the answers ;)

As Ozzy said, sometimes tailhook ( [tailhook] ) and or wing fold ( [folding_wings] ) commands are used for doors.  That said, try adding the following to your aircraft.cfg

[exits]
number_of_exits: =2   max number is 4
exit_rate.0 = 0.4 .0 is Door 1, .1 is 2 etc - exit rate is percent per second
exit_rate.1 = 0.5
