I am running FS9 on a nVidia Gforce 5200 since allmost forever now and I don't have any complaints about it. You have to ask yourself the following question: do I want to fly and have some fun or do I want to watch a movie of an airplane. All I see in this forum are people asking stuff about framerates. Like that is the major thing of this sim. As long as you framerates are about 25 - 30 fps it's ok. Any more and the difference gets to small to see. And with my Geforce 5200 I can get 25 - 30 fps easily.

Well I am just one of those people who wants to fly the sim looking its best.  I dont want jaggies lines of poor texturing I want things crisp and clear, just like I do now.  I am not worried about FPS just want it to look great and fly smoothley which it is doing superbly thanks to FS-GS service.

As far as Half Life 2. ???

Will anybody out there have a computer that can actually play it at the highest settings ?
My son bought Doom 3 and according to the Windows XP game adviser I only have half the resources to play the game. The designers built the game to play with a 512MB video card. And they are not even available to the general public. I can play it. He got bored with it within a week. At the highest setting it is so jumpy it is unplayable !

Much less how much they will probably cost  :o

Coming on finals at Heathrow and all of a sudden the program shuts down and error report window flags up. Had the same problem with 2002 pro. Any ideas. I,m not that well up on computers so simple language for me i'm afraid. Cheers guys.

My spec is at the bottom of my signature, and providing I can run FS 2002 smoothly at 30+ FPS, locked at 30 FPS, with everything maxed in FS 2002, then I am a really happy bunny..... ;D... ;D... ;D...!
...and saving loads of money, to boot.... ;).... ;D...!

LOL...!

Cheers all.... ;D...!

How can he be running at full setting when the actual full setting requires a 512MB video card ?

And they are not out !
