What do you guys do to unwind?

Postby kinghunter4 » Sat Nov 06, 2004 5:26 pm

When I come home from work, sometimes I just have to relax, so I'll set texture to high, so forth, and fly a scenic route. What do you guys do?

PS-If this is the wrong section, I apologize in advance because I've just registered.

I think it'll work in here . . . ;)

I guess it depends on how my day was.  If I had a smooth but invigorating day, a bush hop is always great.  Scenery of the Caribbean really goes well for a sunny afternoon.

But if I've had a REALLY bad day, I get out the good ol' F-16 and buzz AI until I crash into 'em.  Gets the aggretion (sp?) out without actually harming anyone. ;D

. . . and welcome to SimV! :D

Well it depends, is this a flight sim based question? or do you want to know general idea?

If you don't care if it's not flight sim based it should go in the cafe... ;-)

Either way, welcome to the site! :-) Just be careful and watch out for the men in white coats...they say that you have a choice in padded cells, but I never had a choice...  ;D Just kidding...

Hmmm... lately it's been pretty frustrating between work/school so usually when I get home I start talking to a buddy of mine whom I have known since 3rd grade on the yahoo messenger...usually after playing some virtual pool with him will help me relax a little bit...

and for those days when I don't talk to him I'll get into the sim and do some flying, or search for some new additions to the d/l section...nothing like testing a new aircraft to unwind... :-)

personally, i like to take out something with good manueverability be it jet prop or helicopter and just throw it round the sky as much as possible. If its been a less stressful day and i am looking to just close out the day, i like to just take a cessna or piper and fly round some of the scenic areas.

For FS, hop in the KingAir, find an airport I've never seen before and go.

In real life, beer, (American) football and golf.

Again another qualified answer. I love bush flying so often I do that but sometimes I have to agree with Ender and ozzy72.

I've done this before recently in another post but I love posting pics like this one so I'll do it again.

Jump in my Twin Otter and go island-hopping around French Polynesia. That's a great one. Or just any kind of island hopping.

I generally fly in flight sim.  (that is if its been a good day)  On a bad day I'll either go barnstorming with an F-16(or anything else that goes fast), or I'll fight some poor innocent sap in GTA: Vice City! AKA run him over with the car i just stole.  Now thats stress relief!

I even learned an important lesson:
Never listen to heavy metal just after being dumped by your girlfriend. :(  I was listening to Rob Zombie and was actually getting angrier!  >:(:o
