Relax Budd, remember, most of us are still in our nighties at 6:00 am (my time, your results may vary) and are a bit slow to get moving so early in the morning.  Especially old people like me...  ;)

What has happened is that your traffic file has been duplicated and the only thing to do for it is to dig in there and find the duplicated flight plans and eliminate them.  It's not difficult, and once you do, your double vision will go away.  You may wish to post further questions on this in the AFCAD and TTools forum, and if you do a search there, I'm sure you'll find tons of info on this subject.

lol...

Ok if I understand it correctly you have successfully installed project ai packages and see prioject ai aircraft flying by themselves just like they should correct?

however, with the original traffic airplanes, there are two of everything correct?

To be more specific do we have duplicates of the general aviation aircraft as well?

First thing to do is find all the traffic files and back them up in a different spot, just in case something wrong does happen.

Next go to the project ai site and find the file that says it will remove original airline traffic.  Run this file using the installer/uninstaller, and they should dissappear, if they don't come back here and tell us and we will try to help you out... ;-)

Rename the traffic_030528.bgl file to a .bak or another extension.
This file contains the default flights from FS2004.

This file can be found in flightsimulator 9/scenery/world/scenery.
Also there should be a PAI_traffic.bgl that contains all the PAI traffic.

Any more questions ?

Yup, that will solve your problem.  BTW, a quick search of the Project AI forums would've found your answer too.  Very common question over there.

I just renamed the traffic.bgl to lgb, just the opposite ;D

I also have a peculiar problem with AI traffic...This has happened several times, where I am waiting inline to get to the active, and there may be several planes ahead of me and they just disappear "POOF" into thin air, dont know why this happens, but oh well just means I get to take off sooner..... ;)

...Guess there are lots of "problems" with AI traffic....ever tried waiting for ATC to allow you to cross the active to taxi to the gates at Heathrow? You will be "holding" all night for that  ??? I gave up long ago on that one...commoner ;D

I have had that happen too..... :o

I usually wait and find a spot and dart across  ;)

FAA would probable pull my license if I did that in real life though.......... :o

If a plane is waiting too long, FS is smart enought that it removes that plane from the que so that others will not be hung up also.  This is what you are seeing.
