Good Pilot in FB and CFS3

I jumped into FS2004, thinking that it was going to be a snap.
Hell, I can't even pass the solo test.
Is there anything out there that will tell me about all of those gauges on the 737. I can get it up and land, but to be truthfull about, I don't have a clue on really flying to a distination.
I can't even get the brakes released... no matter, how many times I hit the period.

I would invest in a decent flight stick, if you have a few extra bucks laying around. if you are using strictly the keyboard its a BEAST to fly in 2004.

Best thing is surf google for aviation instrumentation, or go to www.precisionmanuals.com and download the PMDG 737 documentation though the documentation is wholly based on their payware 737, but gives you a great overview of the how-tos

regarding the brakes, make sure you know your key assignments. Hit alt then look for controls then assignments.

You also might want to start out in the smaller planes and work your way up to the 737. Lot less overwhelming that way. Also, check out the Flight Lessons in the Help area in ACOF.

Start small and get proficient with the smaller planes.

The first time I flew in FS (FS98) I did the same thing.  I killed a lot of innocent passengers that day.  :'(  Start small and work your way up.  If the Cessna's bore you then get a Waco or some nice easy Freeware plane.  The Cub is a great little bird to play with.

Same here that was the first plane I took for a spin.
And it also taught me no matter how big the engines it is very difficult to take off from a 3000' runway in a plane that size
